Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Home in Order (the "app"), operated by SGTechStudio, based in India ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What the app does
Home in Order helps the members of a household share and coordinate everyday life: shopping lists, chores, a shared calendar, meal plans, expenses and bills, inventory, care tasks, checklists, travel plans, memories and wishlists.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You can add information about children or other dependents in your care (for example, in Care tasks); you're responsible for that information, and they don't use the app themselves.
3. Your account
- You can sign up with your email address and a password, or with Google. Keep your login details secure; you're responsible for activity under your account.
- Give accurate information, and keep your email address current so we can reach you about your account.
4. Households
- Each account belongs to one household at a time. Whoever creates a household is its admin and can invite others with a code that expires after 24 hours.
- Members of your household can see what you add there (lists, events, expenses, chores, photos and more), so only invite people you want to share this with. Habits stay private to the person they belong to.
- The admin can manage the household: rename it, change its currency, invite or remove members, pass on the admin role, or delete the household.
5. Your content
You own what you add. You allow us to store, process and show it to you and your household members, only to provide the app. Only upload content you have the right to share, such as your own photos. Don't use the app for anything illegal, harmful or abusive, or in a way that infringes someone else's rights.
6. Expenses and bills are records only
The app helps you track shared costs and who owes whom. It doesn't move money and isn't a payment service. Balances and splits are calculated from what members enter, and we don't guarantee they're correct. Settle any payments between members yourselves, outside the app.
7. Reminders aren't guaranteed
Notifications depend on your device, its settings and third-party services, and may be late or not arrive. Don't rely on the app as your only reminder for anything important, such as medication, health care or payment deadlines.
8. Third-party services
The app relies on other providers to work, including Supabase (hosting), Resend (account emails), Expo and Google (notifications) and Google (sign-in, if you use it). See our Privacy Policy for how they handle data.
9. Changes and availability
The app is independently built and run. We may add, change or remove features, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We'll try to give notice of significant changes.
10. Ending your use
You can leave a household or delete your account at any time in the app (see Delete your account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or misuse the app, or where the law requires it.
11. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those in these terms, including that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that calculations and reminders will be accurate or on time.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer under applicable law, including India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local consumer law gives you.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If changes are significant, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.
